On November, 30 MGGEU campus became a venue for the «Curative Education regarding strategies and community adjustment in training and adaptation for students with disabilities» web-conference. This event was organized with the active participation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The following handouts of the conference are available on the university’s website: “Curative education (historical-pedagogic aspect)” and “Curative education as a tool of habilitation and rehabilitation for students with disabilities and MSD”.
The web-conference gathered undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, academic staff, deans, and heads of chairs. The conference embraced a variety of up-to-date techniques of an integrated approach to adaptive physical culture classes for disabled and MSD persons.
The participants discussed the model of students’ rehabilitation in the social, pedagogical, psychological and medical spheres, implemented at the University; the panel also covered cross-disciplinary issues of educating students with disabilities.
The proceedings of the conference are accessible for consideration of pedagogic community, in particular for regional educational institutions involved with training disabled students.
