MGGEU collaborates with Higher Educational Institutions of France

The French-Russian Forum of Universities Presidents in SHS “Russia-France: Dialogue and trust in the academic world” was held on April 14 and 15, 2017, at Grenoble University (IMAG Building – University Campus).

The delegation from Moscow State University of Humanities and Economics was headed by the Rector, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor Vagif Bayramov and represented by Doctor of Philosophy, Professor A. Gerasimov (Department of History and Philosophy), Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor I. Litvinenko (Corporate Management Chair) and students.

The Forum welcomed delegates from forty leading academic and research institutions of France and Russia, who claimed the increasing role of Universities and Colleges in conveying cultural and humanitarian backgrounds to new generations.

The plenary session was opened by Deputy Minister of Science and Education of the Russian Federation G. Trubnikov, who stressed that the meeting embodied collaboration of Russian and French academia supported by the relevant agencies of both countries; one of them is the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation which sees the Forum as an important bilateral mechanism of new efficient communication models design. G.Trubnikov emphasized that interdisciplinarity of the Forum complies with the needs and tendencies of contemporary education and science.

The sessions took a deep insight into different issues, such as: Franco-Russian scientific-and-technological cooperation, both countries’ education in the humanities, upgrading and internationalization principles as well as those of science, education and businesses. Another important issue discussed was employment of graduates in both countries.

Moscow State University of Humanities and Economics was given a special attention as it is an institution which hosts a large number of students with special needs. V.D.Bayramov reported on reverse inclusion system which had successfully been implemented in MGGEU. Educational institutions of Paris, Strasbourg and Grenoble look forward to adopting the best practices of inclusive education patterns as well as developing joint educational and scientific projects and teaching staff exchange programs.

The Forum resulted in signing the Agreement of Cooperation between MGGEU and L’Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA, France) on inter-university on-line learning.
