Graduation Ceremony at MGGEU

On July 6, 2018 the Moscow State University of Humanities and Economics held the graduation ceremony for this year finalists, which welcomed graduates’ parents, employers, undergraduates and school leavers.

After the anthem of the Russian Federation, rector of the University, Vagif  Deyrushevich Bayramov addressed the graduates with a welcoming speech.

“I would like to congratulate all of you from the bottom of my heart! This is the 20th year of graduation”, he began. Further Vagif Deyrushevich who is a professor and a Ph.D. in Sociology, spoke about graduates from previous years, who are employed in various positions in different regions of Russia and abroad. “Today a total of 204 graduates will receive their diplomas of higher education in the following areas: “Law”, “Economics”, “Management”, “Computer Science”, “Journalism”, “Publishing”, “Sociology”, “Psychology”, “Linguistics” and “Translation”, 36 of them achieved degree with honours.

Vagif Deyrushevich wished to the graduates of 2018 to keep their character, fulfilling their vital, human and professional duties. “I’m sure you will do everything in your power to make our country prosper,” the Rector said. – Do not forget that MGGEU is your home; it is always open for you. We wholeheartedly wish our graduates professional achievements, creative successes and great happiness.”

The Rector handed the diplomas over to the top-graduates and they could make pictures.

Leonid Leonidovich Fedorov, professor of the Criminal Law, the Great Patriotic War Veteran, made a congratulation speech. The professor recalled the war years, told about his life and career path, about the teachers who are united by the love of the university and the desire to share all their knowledge and experience with the students and the graduates of the last years who stayed at the University to teach. “No matter what awaits you in life, you will always remember your studentship. A happy journey! A happy landing! “, ended his speech Professor Fedorov.

Graduates received their diplomas from the Deans of the Faculties. Multicolored balloons were released into the sky. There were words of gratitude from graduates and their parents addressed to teachers and university staff and musical performances prepared by the university students.

The students stayed long after the ceremony, they were taking photographs and giving flowers to their teachers.
This celebration is over … It is sad that we’ll have to part with our fellow-students and teachers but the hearts of graduates are filled with joy as the road has been handled by the walkers, they are already bachelors, specialists and masters. They can’t wait to start a new exciting life. Let them succeed!
